THE LEGACY OF KINDNESS
In the grand tapestry of Australian legacy, few names resonate as profoundly as the Fox family. Known for their thoughtful contributions to business, charity, and community, the Fox legacy continues to have an impact under the guidance of a new generation. Hannah Fox, Lindsay Fox’s granddaughter, is at the helm of this transformation. With the title of Marketing Strategist – Fox Special Projects, she brings a blend of fresh perspective and respect for tradition. Hannah has picked up the reins and started carving a unique path forward.
For Hannah, legacy is not about titles or achievements but about values. “I think the main legacy I possess from my family is the deep-rooted morals and traits I’ve been taught—things like giving back, caring and sharing, working hard, and having integrity,” she shares. “These are values I’ve had since I was very young, and I want to keep growing upon them and putting them out into the world.” Her approach is grounded in kindness, a thread woven deeply into her family’s story.
A GIFT THAT SYMBOLISES LOVE
For Hannah, the watch on her wrist is more than an accessory. Her Daytona Panda, a gift from her parents on her 18th birthday, represents the thoughtfulness and love that have always defined their relationship. “It’s a special watch to me because my parents put so much effort into finding it for me,” she says.
But the watch is more than a milestone gift. It symbolises the values her parents have instilled in her—kindness, care, and an appreciation for meaningful connections. “Every time I wear it, it reminds me of them and the effort they went to. It’s a reflection of the love they’ve shown me and the traits they’ve passed down.”
For Hannah, watches carry stories. They connect people across generations, tying the past, present, and future together. Her Daytona is not just a timepiece but a constant reminder of the family values she holds dear.
BRINGING NEW ATTENTION TO THE FOX MUSEUM
Wristwatch Check is an event celebrating the intersection of luxury watches and beautiful cars, which is deeply tied to craftsmanship and storytelling. Hosted at the Fox Classic Car Museum, it brings dynamic energy to a historical space and offers an opportunity to engage the community in a new and exciting way.
Hannah plays a supportive role in the event, helping to ensure its success while aligning it with the museum’s mission. “This is about more than showcasing watches and cars,” she says. “It’s about creating a space where people come together, stories are shared, and legacies are celebrated.”
The event allows the museum to connect with new audiences and share its unique charm and importance. For Hannah, it’s a chance to contribute to something greater than a single event—it’s a way to keep the museum relevant and exciting for years to come.
LINDSAY’S LESSONS: BE RESILIENT
Lindsay Fox’s influence on Hannah goes far beyond his accomplishments. Known for his wit and practicality, he has always been a source of wisdom for his family. “One of his favourite sayings is, ‘If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right,’” Hannah shares. “It’s a mindset that’s shaped so much of who I am.”
But it’s not just his words that have left an impression. Lindsay’s actions speak volumes. Hannah recalls when she asked why the museum wasn’t being promoted more. “His response was simple: ‘Go fix it.’ That’s the kind of person he is—direct, practical, and always encouraging me to take action.” Hannah explains. “He doesn’t dwell on problems or excuses. He’s all about finding solutions and taking action.”
Lindsay’s lessons extend beyond business and into the art of generosity. Hannah fondly recounts stories of her grandfather’s interactions with people from all walks of life—moments where he’d go out of his way to make someone feel special. “He’d give someone a compliment or even hand over his cufflinks to someone who admired them,” she shares. “It’s not about the objects themselves; it’s about making a connection, showing kindness, and making someone’s day brighter.”
His ability to connect with people, regardless of status or circumstance, has left a lasting impression on Hannah. “He treats everyone with respect, whether they’re a CEO or a cab driver,” she says. “That’s something I really admire and emulate in my own life.”
For Hannah, Lindsay’s resilience isn’t just about bouncing back from challenges—it’s about staying grounded in what matters most. Whether through his candid advice, his unwavering confidence in those around him, or his acts of kindness, Lindsay has imparted a legacy of strength and generosity that continues to guide her path.
PAULA’S PRINCIPLES: BE COMPASSIONATE
If Lindsay Fox is the bold, action-driven architect of the family’s legacy, Paula Fox is its steady heartbeat—an anchor of strength, generosity and resilience.
“My grandmother has always focused on helping people,” Hannah says. After experiencing melanoma firsthand, Paula used that difficult chapter of her life to help others, and The Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre is an excellent example of this.
“My grandmother’s experience with melanoma could have ended with her recovery, but instead, she turned it into something that would make a difference for everyone in Australia,” Hannah explains. “She doesn’t seek out recognition for what she does; she genuinely believes in giving back and making a difference,” Hannah says.
Hannah explains that Paula’s approach to life has always been grounded in giving back. Paula leads by example, showing that impact doesn’t always need to be loud. “She’s shown me to focus towards changing a bad situation into something amazing, which will help those going through those same struggles,” Hannah reflects.
Paula’s influence has profoundly shaped Hannah’s perspective on what it means to lead with compassion, whether through her philanthropic work or the thoughtful ways she supports her family. “She’s taught me that kindness has power,” Hannah says.
PRESERVING LEGACY
As part of the third generation of the Fox family, Hannah is keenly aware of her responsibility. “Legacies often falter by the third generation, but I see this as an opportunity to ensure ours continues to thrive,” she says.
Her vision is about balance—preserving the traditions that define her family while finding ways to grow and adapt. “It’s about honouring what’s been built and continuing to grow it in meaningful ways,” she explains.
Whether supporting initiatives like Wristwatch Check or small acts of kindness, Hannah is focused on ensuring her family’s values resonate far beyond their name.
CONNECT WITH KINDNESS
For Hannah, a good life isn’t measured in success or accolades but in connection and kindness. “We live in a world where it’s easy to feel disconnected,” she says. “For me, it’s about creating physical or emotional spaces where people can reconnect with themselves and each other.”
Her approach is rooted in appreciating the small moments, being present, and trying to leave the world a better place. “Kindness has this incredible ripple effect,” she reflects. “Even the smallest gestures can create something much bigger. That’s the kind of life I want to live.”
